Awesomeness

Linkin Park rocked. My. Ass. Off. And I really need to say this,

hhhhhhhhhuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaa hhhhhhhhhhhuuuuuuuaaaaa hhhhhhhuuuuuuuuaaaaa hhhuuuuaaaa hhhuuuuaaaa hhhuuuaaa hhuuuaaa hhuuaa huahuahuahuahua hua hua hua hua…

Straight from the start of the show, to the very end of it. Perfect. Awesome. Flawless. Man. Aside from the waiting for everyone to be in the indoor stadium for more than an hour, everything was just how you’d imagine a great rock show would be. Did I mention that there were no ‘opening act’ nonsense? Straight up, from the start, when the curtain literary dropped, they belted out the best tunes, at only the loudest and highest decibel.

The air-conditioned intimate stadium helped with the atmosphere. It cooled the very anxious crowd and prevented them, well, us from going berserk and starting a riot. Even the crowd is very sane and proper. I mean, there were some obvious movements during the entire show, being in the moshpit and the free standing crowd, but there were hardly any shoulder stands, body surfs or rough i’m-a-psycho dances. Unlike the previous show in KL a few years ago, where my body was pushed a few metres everywhere at seemingly the most random time.

Mike and Chester did some very special acoustic/keyboard numbers, like ‘Breaking the Habit’ from Meteora and one classic Hybrid Theory’s ‘Pushing Me Away’. When they did, it was spell binding. So magical that if I died there and then, I would think I have no regrets in my life and I would just let it be. Really, it has that kind of effect on my mind. As if I didn’t need to care about anything, and sort of inspired me to pursue my dreams in my life, even if it means leaving everything I have now behind. Very emo, I know.

I found myself singing along with almost every song they played, except for one which Mike rapped from his side-project Fort Minor. I don’t like FM very much. The encore songs really made the entire show worth it all. ‘One Step Closer’, ‘In The End’ and ‘Bleed It Out’, I think.

If I could describe - in one word - the entire show, to be able to relive the whole Linkin Park experience again, it would be,

euphoric.

Check out the hp-quality pictures and video after the jump…
